Nulon Semi Synthetic 5W-40 Ute & Light Commercial Engine Oil is specifically formulated to provide outstanding anti-wear protection for all modern 4, 6 & 8 cylinder, naturally aspirated, turbocharged common rail and both indirect and direct injection diesel engines. This oil also offers increased heat protection for 4x4 and light commercial diesel engines often placed under continual increased load. It also offers outstanding protection for taxi’s running dual fuel petrol and LPG engines.

Nulon Semi Synthetic 5W-40 Ute & Light Commercial Engine Oil exceeds the requirements of normal 5W-30 diesel engine oil by offering excellent start-up protection when cold and increased high temperature stability to prevent oil loss past piston rings reducing the need for continual top-up. The premium semi synthetic formulation offers excellent detergency to minimise internal sludge and deposit build-up.  

Nulon Semi Synthetic 5W-40 Ute & Light Commercial Engine Oil is not suitable for diesel engines fitted with a Diesel Particulate Filter or DPF. For DPF requirements please choose Nulon Full Synthetic Passenger and Light Commercial Diesel Engine Oil, SYND5W40

Most diesel engine oils carry a higher specification rating than petrol engine oils and vehicle manufacturers often specify a diesel engine oil be used in a petrol motor. This does not work in the reverse, petrol only engine oils cannot be used in diesels. Some engine oils carry both petrol and diesel specifications.

All engine oils contain detergent and dispersant additives which remove contaminant build-up inside your engine. When new oil is added to an engine these additives strip away build-up and hold the contaminant in suspension so it can be removed when the oil is drained, this does discolour the oil.

API is the American Petroleum Institute. The API rating of an engine oil covers the performance rating of the oil (e.g. SM for petrol, CF for diesel).

ACEA is a European industry body up of European vehicle manufacturers. The ACEA rating of an engine oil of covers the performance rating of the oil (e.g. A3/B3, C3).

Contact your local waste facilities or environmental protection agency. Used coolants can contain environmentally unfriendly materials that have originated from the engine cooling system and need appropriate disposal. Do not drain used coolant onto the ground or into storm water.
