Nulon Premium Mineral 80W90 Gearbox and Differential Oil (GBD80W90)  is an extreme pressure API GL-5 hypoid gear oil, recommended for heavy duty use in most gearboxes, and conventional differentials for passenger cars, trucks, vans, SUV, earth-moving equipment, construction equipment and farm tractors.

Nulon GBD80W90 is formulated using highly refined base fluids with superior performance additives. It contains a high dose of Sulphur-Phosphorous additive to provide extreme pressure protection for gears and differentials. GBD80W90  is designed using high shear stable chemistry to maintain lubricant film thickness. It has corrosion inhibitor additive to provide corrosion protection and rust resistance for gearbox components.

GBD80W90 is also designed to improve wear protection, anti-scoring properties, oxidation and thermal stability. It has excellent protection against thermal degradation, component wear, and oil seal deterioration.

No, the API GL5 rating does not supercede or cover the GL4 rating. It is important to follow the gearbox or diff manufacturers recommendations and use the correct GL rating.

What is a hypoid gear oil?

A hypoid gear oil is a lubricant that is designed to operate effectively with hypoid gear designs. Most gearboxes and differentials use hypoid gear designs and the lubricant must contain EP (extreme pressure) additives to prevent wear between the sliding surfaces of a hypoid gear mesh.

Where can I dispose of used oils?

Contact your local waste facilities or environmental protection agency. Used coolants can contain environmentally unfriendly materials that have originated from the engine cooling system and need appropriate disposal. Do not drain used coolant onto the ground or into storm water.

Engine, gearbox, and transmission oils are blended from base oils. These base oils are categorised into Groups by the API Base Oil Classification system. If the automotive field Group III and Group IV base oils are marketed as synthetic.
